Adoption Guidelines

Below is a list of guidelines to help make the adoption process a positive experience for you and your new kitty.

Please make an appointment with us before visiting the shelter. The best way to do that is to reach us via email. We will respond to you within 24 hrs.
• You must be 21 years of age to adopt.
• You must agree not to declaw the cat.
• You must agree to keep it indoors at all times for the cat's safety.
• We do not adopt our cats out as gifts to someone as cats are a 15-20 year commitment.
• You will need to fill out an adoption form, and then review and sign our adoption contract.
• All of our cats are microchipped before leaving Kitty Rescue.
• Our adoption fee for kittens is $95/kitten and $135 for two. We encourage you to consider adopting a pair of kittens if you can. They will enjoy the company of a liter mate and friend. Kittens are sent home with their first distemper shot and those over 12 weeks are also sent home with a rabies vaccine good for one year.
• Our adoption fee for adult cats is $90 and for senior kitties it is $65. All our adult cats are spayed or neutered and sent home with a current distemper shot and rabies vaccine.
• We accept checks or cash only.
• A cat carrier is a must for the ride home.
